I just finished reading a book by her husband William Dufty, "Sugar Blues" which talks about how sugar leads to cancer and all sorts of degenerative diseases. Both Gloria and William Dufty were health nuts who went on macrobiotic diets... but guess what, here's the clincher - WILLIAM DUFTY DIED OF CANCER!!!! I was absolutely stunned to read that. How do you think he could've died from cancer when he refrained from sugar and other poisonous additives and stuff?!?!?!
