Hell Serves Up a Slice of Heaven

September 24, 2009  |  Pizza  |

New Zealand is known for many things: adventure, breathtaking landscape, Russell Crowe’s birth place (well, the latter, perhaps not so much). If you live in the land of the long white cloud, you’ll know it’s also known for a pizza chain unlike any other — by name and by nature.

Hell Pizza not only serves up some of the best gourmet pies around, but its savvy creators have also kept vegans very much in mind with a pizza dedicated just for us animal-friendly lot.

With lashings of avocado, salsa, refried beans, onions, jalapeno, tomatoes and capsicum (see below) — there’s not a scrap of cheese in sight. Even the most health conscious vegan should try the so-called Sinister pizza.

I would of course urge the Hell peeps to add even more vegan pizzas to their menu. One vegan option is never enough.

So successful is the Hell chain, that it has also opened stores in Australia and the UK. Well done, chaps.

  1. As a vegan New Zealander now living in London I must agree that Hell Pizza is amazing and it’s so brilliant to see it hitting this side of the world!

This blog is great too! I must say I’m not usually a blog follower but I’ve bookmarked yours and now find myself popping back every couple of days.

    Thanks!
